You can exclude specific subfolders or any top level folder.
You can schedule how often to check for updates, or check manually at any time.

Hi all, Upgraded all our PC's from Win 7 to 10 over past couple of months. Now I'm getting complaints from several users that windows, mostly file explorer windows I believe, just close for no apparent reason.
We strongly recommend that you do not disable the update feature.
Instead, change preferences for how often you'd like to be notified of newer versions.
Came across I report of the issue and the suggested solution was to make sure "Tablet mode" is turned off.
Only a couple of the PC's experiencing the problem had Tablet mode on.
For me it kicks in after only a couple of days without a restart.
And I have done a fresh wipe and re-install only 3 months ago. There's this article that summarizes many of the known possible fixes to the problem.
